Monash Children’s Hospital joins children to honour frontline workers

The children at Paisley Park Early Learning Centre in Chadstone wanted to show their gratitude to frontline workers and thank them for the work they’re doing during this difficult time.

The children showed their support by inviting the local health services, police, ambulance, fire brigade and others to an online ceremony, which included observing a minute of silence, singing songs and dressing up in various roles representing frontline workers.

Hearing about this heartfelt tribute, our amazing nurses from the Monash Children’s Hospital decided to jump on to the call and join the children in their ceremony. Our nurses were joined by Kym Forrest, General Manager of the Monash Children’s Hospital and Anne Marie Kilpatrick, Acting Director of Clinical Operations at the Monash Children’s Hospital. The team thanked the children for their efforts and made sure to remind them to keep washing their hands!

It was a great opportunity to familiarise the children with our nurses in their PPE and remind them to let their parents know if they are feeling unwell, so they can be tested. Thank you to the children of Paisley Park Early Learning Centre for putting a smile on our faces! You can watch the ceremony here.
