Progress on the Clean Up Monash Health initiative continues, with works at the main sites of Clayton and Dandenong completed.
Cranbourne has had one skip delivered and collected. The second skip currently is on site being filled.
Kingston is filling its third skip, which is still currently half full. Moorabbin did not have many items, so these were to be transferred to Kingston for removal.
Casey currently has one skip on site. This will be collected on 7 December, while 165 Cleeland Street is waiting on Odin (E Waste) to undertake the waste collection.
Springvale, Doveton and Berwick collection was planned to occur at the conclusion of all the larger sites.
When the concept of turning Monash Health into a safer and more work-friendly environment was launched into action, we had plans to complete it at all work sites on a singles day. That quickly changed once we realised the size of the operation, affected by the amount of furniture and equipment to be removed from some sites, the types of material to be removed from other facilities and delays due to on site skip location discussions and the availability of skips for some locations.
All employees involved in the clean-up are to be congratulated for their efforts in helping to make our work environment more compliant with regulations and less cluttered, by removing surplus equipment and furniture.
