Practice makes perfect with our EMR Best Practice Program

Our EMR Best Practice Program focuses on supporting existing users of the EMR by providing best practice webinars and resources to help improve the safe and effective use of our EMR.

Best Practice Webinar Series

Available for both our Medical and Nursing and Midwifery employees, the EMR Best Practice webinars are in-service style presentations that you can access via your smartphone, tablet or computer.

Webinars will cover tips and tricks, key messages and best practices, as well as a Q&A session for employees to ask their EMR-related questions.

Best Practice Passports

EMR Passports provide a focused group of resources and materials to guide your EMR skills development.

EMR Passports can be downloaded as e-documents and saved, allowing the user to electronically ‘tick’ the checkbox next to each resource item that has been viewed as a record of completion.

Completion of each month’s EMR Best Practice Passport will form the introduction level in the development of future EMR Super Users and Champions.

Best Practice Specialty Support Guides

EMR Specialty Support Guides are for employees who have already completed their EMR training and who are either moving from one clinical area to another or are working in an area that introduces new EMR workflows. You will be guided to the training and support resources that will help you to familiarise yourself with using the EMR for these areas.

Using the  EMR supports the safe, high quality and timely care of all our patients, and the EMR Best Practice Program supports you in using the EMR to optimise documentation and clinical decision making to continue delivering outstanding levels of care.
