Chief Executive COVID -19 Update: 14 December 2020

Message from the Board and Chief Executive

As we near the end of 2020, we will all have unique memories and stories to tell about this incredible time.

The Annual General Meeting ‘Year that was’ video encapsulates just how impressive and far-reaching your work has been this year. We hope that everyone at Monash Health will be able to look back with a sense of achievement and pride for your role in overcoming the many challenges, while continuing to provide the best care for our community and each other.

The contribution that each of you made, whether in clinical or clinical support roles, on-site or remotely, ensured we continued to play a pivotal role in supporting our community’s healthcare goals. We could not be more proud of the determination and commitment you all showed as we mobilised to change the way we do things in line with the needs of our patients, families and colleagues.

As the holiday season approaches, we want to share our appreciation and gratitude for your dedication in a year like no other and your continued vigilance in keeping our community and each other safe. We can approach the new year backed by your skills, experience and teamwork to maintain that level of safety.

To our employees who are working over the holiday season, thank you. For many of our patients, consumers and their families, it is a most difficult time to be at Monash Health and the care and comfort you provide is deeply appreciated. To those working in our maternity services, during what is so often the most special time of celebration, thank you. For those taking leave, we wish you a safe and restful break with time to recharge.

We wish you all a happy festive season with family and friends, and look forward to 2021 being another year where Monash Health’s teams show our community what is achievable in the pursuit of excellence in healthcare.

Dipak and Andrew.
