Tips for completing your Give Me five or Annual Performance Discussion

When things are uncertain, a plan will help you reflect, navigate and look ahead to the future. Give Me Five conversations are an opportunity to talk about your experiences in the past year, what you have learnt, set your goals and provide feedback to your manager about how you are feeling.

These conversations are essential. To assist you, we have provided some quick steps to ensure you can complete yours.

 Tips for completing your discussion

  1. Speak to your manager and book a convenient time for you both
  2. Pick a location you are comfortable with for the meeting. Face-to-face socially distanced, via Webex or over the phone are all great solutions.
  3. Before your discussion with your manager download the template to draft your responses to each question. This ensures that you are prepared for the meeting and the conversation is rich and constructive. Please note support services and security employees should download the Give Me Five template for support services and security.
  4. Review helpful resources and guides found on the Give Me Five COVID-19 employee website.
