On 17 March, 2021 the Surgery and Interventional Services Program held their inaugural staff forum; the first of what will be a monthly occurrence. The forums provide an opportunity for employees to come together and hear from one another. This forum series has been launched to create a virtual space to communicate with the program, for employees to voice questions and suggestions, for education and to celebrate wins.
The forum was facilitated by Cath Cronin, the Interim General Manager of Surgery and Interventional Services. Cath shared her background and vision for the program along with a summary of the transformational work planned for 2021. The five focus areas for 2021 can be seen in the below and above diagram:
Special mention was made on Slido to the following employees and teams in celebration of their contribution to the program in 2020:
- “The Theatre teams at Dandenong, Casey and Moorabbin for their great work with launching ‘Perfect on the Day’.”
- The COVID screening team lead by Eleanor Milton. This team has been instrumental in making sure our staff and patients are safe from COVID through the screening program for the course of the pandemic. They have been adaptable and able to change course very quickly as needed.”
- “I would like to acknowledge Sarah-Jane and the Cranbourne team for the great work they undertook in opening the Day Surgery Unit. Along with Yolandie Whitehead-Bell and team, Jane Mirtchin and team, Melinda Collins and Priscilla Guy.”
Stay tuned for the next Surgery and Interventional Program forum on April 14 at 2pm. If you have any requests for future forum topics or if you have not received an invite please contact Natalie Bryant at firstname.lastname@example.org.
