Earlier this week, we opened the doors of our Central Production Kitchen at the Kingston Centre to the Acting Premier James Merlino and the Minister of Health Martin Foley as they announced new nutrition and quality food standards in Victorian public hospitals.
Imran Hanif, Manager, Support Services at Monash Health, participated in the review of the food standards and said that he welcomed the announcement.
“Monash Health’s kitchens produce around 40,000 meals per week, so this new policy is another opportunity for us to continue serving balanced, nutritional and high-quality food options for all of our patients and residents.”
The new nutrition and quality food standards will be finalised and put in place by the end of 2021.
