Providing high-quality, comprehensive care is one of the most important things we can do as a health service. It’s critical we communicate and correctly document the care we provide so your team members, and other clinicians associated with your patients’ care get the complete picture.
Accreditation (7-11 June) gives us the opportunity to showcase the collaborative clinical work we do in caring for patients. To help you prepare, we’ve created brand new Quick Reference Guides (QRGs); to help you connect and demonstrate how the EMR facilitates comprehensive care.
The ‘EMR and Comprehensive Care’ QRGs are available on the employee resources page of our accreditation website and have been created for medical, nursing and midwifery, pharmacy, allied health and administrative employees.
Remember, documenting in the right place can ‘light the way’ for your colleagues and fellow care providers.
Use the new QRGs to ‘light the way’ for your colleagues and to reinforce and embed our business-as-usual workflows to ensure you feel confident and comfortable conveying the great work you do to the assessors in June.
Comprehensive care involves teams of health professionals working together and communicating effectively to plan, manage and coordinate care for patients.
Download the QRG for your area/speciality, print them out, discuss them with your teams and put them on your employee noticeboards.
For a full list of EMR QRGs, designed to take you step-by-step through different workflows and processes, visit the Quick Reference Guides page on the EMR website.
