Monash Children’s Cleft and Craniofacial Unit featured in HealthTimes Magazine

Monash Children’s Hospital Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Tania Green, has been featured in the April edition of HealthTimes Magazine Education Feature, shedding light on her amazing work within Monash Children’s Cleft and Craniofacial Unit.

The article features insight from Tania into what she calls a ‘rewarding and heart-warming’role. In the article, she reveals how she uses her role as a prenatal cleft consultant to support midwives by ‘providing education and liaison, reassurance and encouragement’, the day to day challenges she faces and what motivates her.

Monash Women’s Birth Unit, Midwife Manager Karen Wigg, is featured within the article, praising Tania Green and sharing her personal connection to Monash Children’s Cleft and Craniofacial Unit.

“Tania provides education in the care and management of cleft babies via in-service education sessions for midwives to support mothers and families of cleft babies,”said Karen.

Tania recently received her 2020 HESTA Nurse of the Year Award, after COVID-19 restrictions prevented her from attending the 2020 HESTA Australian Nursing & Midwifery Awards.
