As we’ve seen the community demand for COVID-19 vaccination increase across the last week, we’re also keen to ensure all Monash Health employees are vaccinated as soon as possible. This includes being fully vaccinated via the second dose.
All Monash Health employees are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination.
Vaccines administered in line with guidelines
At our vaccination clinics, we are administering AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccines in line with the government guidelines. Following government announcements all healthcare workers are now eligible for the Pfizer vaccine regardless of age. Please note if you have had your first dose of AstraZeneca you cannot mix vaccine types and will be offered AstraZeneca only for your second dose.
Following revised advice from ATAGI, Pfizer is now the preferred vaccine for those under 60 years of age. AstraZeneca is the preferred vaccine for anyone 60 and over. Anyone who has received the first dose of AstraZeneca without an adverse reaction can receive their second dose.
Bookings and walk-ins are available for our employees, however walk-ins may experience delays or be asked to return at a quieter time.
