Having safely and efficiently delivered over 8,680 vaccinations to our employees and priority healthcare workers and members of the community, the Moorabbin Hospital and Kingston Centre COVID-19 vaccination clinics are both closing at the end of the day Friday, 18 June.
Monash Health employees due to receive their second dose at Moorabbin or Kingston in the coming weeks will still receive these at ‘pop up’ clinics at both sites. The ‘pop ups’ will be in the same locations as the vaccination clinics. Employees with existing appointments should attend at the time and date allocated to them. If your appointment times have changed, the vaccination clinic team will contact you directly to reschedule your booking to align with pop-up clinic timings.
Please ensure you receive your scheduled second dose of the vaccination. Both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine provide maximum protection against serious illness and hospitalisation due to COVID-19 and ensure you can protect those you care for.
Head of Infection Prevention and Epidemiology, Professor Rhonda Stuart, acknowledges the dedication and agility displayed by the teams at both sites throughout the rapidly changing landscape of the last few months. “I want to thank everyone at Moorabbin and Kingston clinics for delivering to such high standards. You have all worked tirelessly to ensure your colleagues and visiting patients are protected against the serious consequences of COVID-19.” Rhonda said. “We’ve received considerable praise for the care you’ve given to every patient. You should be proud of their contribution and the difference you’ve made.”
The vaccination clinic team members will have the opportunity to join our high-volume vaccination workforce at Sandown Racecourse and Cranbourne Turf Club or work at our hospital clinics at MMC Clayton or Dandenong. The vaccination clinic space at Moorabbin will transition back to hospital operational space, while the Kingston Centre clinic can host training sessions in the building.
