Thank you to those who completed the People Matter survey

Thank you to our almost 4,000 employees who took the time to complete the People Matter survey. Your meaningful feedback will help us understand what is working well for our employees and where we can put steps in place to improve.

We look forward to sharing the survey results with all employees in September when Monash Health receives the results from the Victorian Public Sector Commission. We will then switch our attention to implementing initiatives that can ensure change from the survey outcome.

The program leaderboard once again provided some great friendly competition. Two outstanding programs kept the competition exciting throughout the four weeks.

Congratulations to Security who finished in top position with a completion rate of 92.8% and Allied Health and Patient Flow who finished a closed second with 85.9%.

Both programs will receive a cash prize to put towards a project to benefit their program.

Robert Symonds, Security Site Supervisor expressed his pride in the team and their engagement with the survey “To achieve such an outstanding completion rate reflects the commitment and care our security officers have for our people and organisation. I am proud of all respondents for taking the time to share their feedback and am excited to hear the results from our program. This insight will help guide our future direction and make a positive change. Thank you to all our security team members” said Robert.

Stuart Cavill, General Manager Allied Health and Patient Flow explained the importance of getting a high participation rate in the survey and the initiatives his program have implemented as a result of previous years People Matter data.

“In March 2019 the Allied Health and Patient Flow Program implemented a new committee called ‘Good Ideas – Because People Matter’. The committee membership covers clinicians from all areas of the program along with managers, the People and Culture Business Partner, and General Manager.

The committee initially focused on 2018 and 2019 People Matter results, they then implemented face to face sessions across all campuses to get more detailed information that the program could utilise to improve the time employees spent at work. From these sessions they have been able to implement many initiatives.

I look forward to receiving the programs 2021 People Matter report to hear what our people have to say and to see what we can do in the ‘Good Ideas – Because People Matter Committee’.” Said Stuart.
