Temporary pause to COVID-19 vaccination at Dandenong Hospital clinic

From Tuesday 13 July, the Dandenong Hospital COVID-19 vaccination clinic closed temporarily due to the current reduction in vaccine supply. At this point, we anticipate the closure to be for two to three weeks. Anyone with an existing appointment will have their booking scheduled at an alternate Monash Health site during this period.

We expect vaccine supply to increase significantly over the coming months, at which time activity across our Vaccination Clinics will increase accordingly. It’s not too late to book a vaccination, and you can continue to do so by calling the Victorian Government’s Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398, choose option 1, then option 1, then option 1. Or you can book online here.

We are also keen to ensure that anyone wishing to continue to provide their services within the COVID-19 vaccination program can do so. You are welcome to take advantage of the opportunity to work at our vaccination centres at Sandown Racecourse, Cranbourne Turf Club and MMC Clayton. Please take the time to talk to your manager if you would like to discuss your options and opportunities as the vaccination program continues to roll out. There are also opportunities to find casual shifts within other areas across Monash Health. You can find out more by contacting Monash Health Bureau.

Vaccination continues to be our community’s best hope of returning to a more normal way of life during these changeable and challenging times. Whether through our COVID-19 vaccination, screening or contact tracing programs, or delivery of our regular services, our people continue to deliver excellent results with determination, humour and kindness. It is quite an achievement and recognised with very positive feedback from our community, who can credit you with playing a large part in their fight against COVID-19 and maintaining their health during the pandemic.
