Please carry your employee ID card when travelling to and from work

In line with the Victorian government’s tightened lockdown restrictions from 11.59pm on 16 August, permits are required to leave the house for authorised work, consistent with arrangements in place last year.

For Monash Health employees, this means always travelling to and from work with your employee identification card, which can be shown in place of a permit.

All employees of Monash Health are permitted workers.  This includes clinical, as well as administrative and support services employees.

All Monash Health employees required to work on-site should ensure they carry their Monash Health employee ID when travelling to and from work. It is particularly important you have your employee identification with you if you are travelling during the curfew hours – after 9pm and before 5am.

If your employee identification is faded, making the photograph and text difficult to read, you can have your identification reprinted at no cost for the time being.

If a new ID is needed, it is preferable to have your identification reprinted at the Clayton security office (phone 9594 6666). If you do need to replace your identification, please call the security office ahead of time.

There is some very limited capacity to have this done at the Dandenong security office (phone 9554 1000). The Kingston security office has limited capacity to manage ID cards.

Under the latest restrictions, you can only travel further than 5km from your home if required for permitted work or education, giving or receiving care (including medical care or to get a COVID-19 test), getting a COVID-19 vaccination or visiting an intimate partner or your single social bubble buddy.

Victorians may also leave home in an emergency – including those at risk of family violence.
