Monash Health employees are invited to take a break and join in for a free guided meditation session this Wednesday 22 September at 12:30pm.
Hosted by Medibank, clinical psychologist Emily Toner will guide employees through a 30-minute meditation session, designed to encourage you to take a moment for mindfulness in your day.
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity and without judgement. When you practice mindfulness, your thoughts focus on what you sense in the present moment, rather than revisiting the past or imagining the future.
Practicing mindfulness has many proven benefits including the reduction of stress, improved work performance, and overall health and wellbeing. There are many techniques and tips you can use to practice mindfulness that are quick and easy to incorporate into your workday.
