The 2021 Nursing and Midwifery Awards and Scholarships (NAMAS) has been postponed. The event has been delayed due to the changing circumstances around the COVID-19 pandemic.
We have seen the adaptability and resilience of our nurses and midwives throughout the last 18 months. Their work has been the backbone of our pandemic response, and we look forward to recognising their efforts when we can next year.
Associate Professor Katrina Nankervis, Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, looks forward to showcasing emerging areas of nursing and midwifery practice at the NAMAS and recognising the achievements of Monash Health Nurses and Midwives.
“I know it is a challenging time to work in healthcare, but it is also a time of advancement and innovation in nursing and midwifery practice. I look forward to celebrating with you all next year.
I am proud to be a Monash Health Nurse and feel privileged to lead a dedicated team of nurses and midwives. Thank you for caring for our patients and the community.”
Given the current circumstances, we will open nominations and applications for the NAMAS when it is appropriate to do so.
For more information about the NAMAS, you can email the team at namas@monashhealth.org.
