Victorian Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Service

Friday 15 October is International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day, a time for bereaved parents from Australia and around the world to pause and remember the pregnancies and infants they have lost.

To mark the day, the Victorian Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Service will be held virtually at 7pm and allow Victorian families to come together to reflect and connect with others who have gone through similar experiences.

We encourage all employees to share this information with their patient cohorts who may have experienced perinatal or infant loss. You may also like to extend the invitation to any colleagues or family members you know who may benefit from the service.

The remembrance service is an important event for many families, with approximately 106,000 babies losing their lives to miscarriage, stillbirth and newborn death each year. The service helps connect families and demonstrate the value of providing support and recognition of pregnancy and infant loss.

Registration for the event closes on Thursday 14 October at 5pm. To register for the event, please visit the event registration website.

If you, your family or a loved one needs someone to talk to regarding the loss and grief of a pregnancy or infant, please contact the Red Nose 24/7 support line on 1300 308 307 or contact your family GP.
