Introducing our live employee relaxation and meditation series – plus regular mindfulness sessions

We’re excited to invite all employees to attend a series of live half-hour relaxation and meditation sessions, as part of our new approach to health and wellbeing.

The sessions will be held virtually and hosted by Rebecca Max, a qualified meditation and relaxation teacher who is passionate about helping people better understand how to manage their emotions and prioritise their wellbeing.

The sessions have been scheduled for a range of times during the day to cater to various work schedules and aim to encourage you to relax and develop new techniques for finding mindful moments.

As we move into the peak of the pandemic, there’s never been a more important time to focus on your health and wellbeing. We encourage you to participate with your colleagues or take the time to join in from home.

Session details

There will be two sessions per week held at various times over the next three weeks, with times designed to suit a range of employee work schedules. These include:

Week commencing 18 October

  • Tuesday 19 October, 9.00pm
  • Wednesday 20 October, 1.30pm

Week commencing 25 October

  • Monday 25 October, 9.00pm
  • Thursday 28 October, 10.30am

Week commencing 1 November

  • Friday 5 November 2.30pm
  • Thursday 4 November 9.00pm

Regular half-hour mindfulness sessions are also being held every Wednesday at 2.30pm and are facilitated by Southern Synergy, part of the Department of Psychiatry in the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health.

These sessions form part of a wide range of initiatives we’ll be implementing over the coming weeks to support your health and wellbeing.

Another such initiative is MOVE – Monash Health’s Organisation-wide Virtual Exercise Program, which launched earlier this week offering free online gym classes for all employees. You can find more information about the program and the schedule of sessions here.
