Chief Executive Special Series: 21 October – Dr Cameron Wolfe COVID-19 Q&A Sessions Video 4

Special Series: Dr Cameron Wolfe COVID-19 Q&A Sessions

Dr Cameron Wolfe: What clinical teams are experiencing with patients yet to be vaccinated versus those who are

The fourth video in my Q&A sessions with Dr Cameron Wolfe feels topical and very poignant today. As the number of people on COVID pathways rises, we will see and care for more patients yet to be vaccinated. Cameron articulates the clinical outcomes and the emotional impact of treating an illness preventable for most through vaccination.

Cameron’s experience reminds us that our patients and their families and friends arrive in our care maybe having relied on different information and with different perceived risks than we might have; and your empathy may be tested.

I encourage you to watch the video as we enter this next phase. Whether those in our care are frightened or defiant, they will rely on our dedication to maintaining standards and compassion more than ever before.

Thank you for being such an essential part of our community’s journey through this pandemic. You are an indispensable touchpoint, and maintaining high standards and acts of kindness in challenging times will resonate for a long time to come.
