If you are working on a COVID ward, please try to avoid bringing your phone into the clinical area. If you need to use your mobile phone while working on a COVID ward, it should be in a zip-lock bag at all times and used as a hands-free device.
We recommended storing your personal items in a container or in a secure drawer or locker, to minimise the number of items entering and exiting COVID wards.
If you need to use your mobile phone while working on a COVID ward, it should be in a zip-lock bag plastic bag at all times and used as a hands-free device.
To avoid bringing the phone up to your face or ear, use the speaker function instead. Make sure you perform hand hygiene before and after doing so. Your phone should not be placed in your pocket or beneath your PPE. Use a Clinell wipe to disinfect your phone before and after it is placed in the zip-lock bag.
