We have modified our current screening process for transfers to Kingston.
- All transfers to Kingston (who have not had COVID in the last 12 weeks) will have a PCR taken the night before transfer, when prebooked
- If transfer is only identified on the day a PCR should be done before transfer
- If the patient is asymptomatic and PCR result not yet available the subacute team will make a risk assessment to support the transfer
- Transferred patients should have a repeat swab 48 hours after admission to Kingston
