Finalists for the 2022 Victorian Public Healthcare Awards have been announced and we are delighted to have received nominations in six categories, including the prestigious Premier’s Health Service of the Year Award (large).
The Awards are an annual celebration of excellence and the categories reflect Victoria’s healthcare priorities, and our sector’s ability to drive change and improve health outcomes.
We’re extremely proud to announce Monash Health as finalists in the following six categories:
- Premier’s Health Service of the year (large) – Monash Health
- Excellence in improving maternal, child and family health – Monash Women’s COVID streaming hospital for obstetric services
- Supporting Healthy Populations – Monash Health’s South East Public Health Unit – 1.4 million COVID-19 vaccine doses delivered to our diverse community
- Safer Care Vic award for quality and safety improvement – Keeping maternity care safe during COVID-19: have we changed the antenatal model of care forever? (Monash Health)
- Improving healthcare through clinical research – Precision medicine for hypertension: screening for primary aldosteronism (Monash Health, Hudson Institute of Medical Research)
- Excellence in culturally diverse health: Reducing stillbirth at term in South Asian born mothers (Hudson Institute of Medical Research – The Ritchie Centre, Monash Women’s, Monash Health Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Monash University)

Winners will be revealed at the 16th Victorian Public Healthcare Awards Gala Night on 13 October.
Congratulations also to Reece Adams and the team from the Centre for Developmental Disability Health, who last week were finalists in the Victorian Disability Awards for their work on the Disability Healthcare Access Model.
