To recognise and celebrate our Junior Medical Staff (JMS), all employees are invited to nominate a Junior Doctor who you feel have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and dedication in providing safe and high-quality care.
The JMS Awards are sponsored by the Senior Medical Staff Association (SMSA) and this year there are 12 categories in recognition of the diverse range of services that we provide including:
- Intern of the Year
- HMO of the Year
- JMS of the Year in Acute, Sub-acute and Community Medicine
- JMS of the Year in Surgery and Interventional Services
- JMS of the Year in Emergency Medicine
- JMS of the Year in Critical Care (ICU and anaesthesia)
- JMS of the Year in Specialty Medicine
- JMS of the Year in Mental Health
- JMS of the Year in Women’s and Newborn
- JMS of the Year in Children’s
- JMS of the Year in Diagnostic Imaging
- JMS of the Year in Pathology
All nominations will be treated anonymously and can be made by completing the nomination form here.
Nominations close midnight Sunday 20 November and will then be reviewed by an awards panel who will select the appropriate category for the nomination and decide the recipient.
Winners will be announced in January, with a formal award ceremony to be conducted online.
