The Health Promotion Awards are an annual event run by Monash Health recognising the important work done by our community Health Promotion Champions.
These Champions work to improve the health of their schools, sports clubs, recreation facilities and other community organisation with support from Monash Health’s Health Promotion team.
Examples of their life-changing work include revamping canteen menus to offer healthier locally sourced food, encouraging kids to be more active, and supporting more girls to participate in sport.
Champions are nominated by either the community or their local health promotion practitioner at Monash Health. Over 50 health promotion Champions from across the southeast of Melbourne attended this year’s awards held on Tuesday November 10 at the Lynbrook Community Centre.
We were inspired to hear from attendees about how they’ve improved the health of places where people live, work, learn and play.
Join us in congratulating all the 2022 winners!
