What is happening?
The Pathology System (Medipath/GUI/Webstro) is undergoing a planned outage to introduce new technology for Victorian Heart Hospital.
Prior to the change a planned Code Yellow will be called.
When?
The Pathology System (Medipath/GUI/Webstro) including all interfaces will not be available on Sunday 4th December 2022 between 7:00 am to 08:00 pm.
How will it affect me?
Laboratory staff
Will not be able to access Medipath and GUI, and all staff will be unable to view recent Pathology Results.
Clinical users
Orders:
Orders from EMR will not flow into Medipath or Webstro.
Plan routine Pathology tests for collection on Saturday 3rd December for multiday stable patients.
From 11.59 pm Saturday 3th December, only order Urgent Pathology tests.
Urgent = Pathology result that will change disposition or management plan.
Revert to paper pathology ordering slips and please order only Urgent Pathology tests during downtime.
Results:
Results from Pathology will not reach ANY downstream systems, including EMR.
All other functions of the EMR and SMR are working as normal
