Aged living blooms at Chestnut Gardens

Congratulations to our team at Chestnut Gardens Aged Care Home which achieved its re-accreditation recently.

This regular re-accreditation process is crucial to protect and improve the safety, health, wellbeing, and quality of life of people receiving our aged care services.

Cameron Duncan, Acting General Manager Residential Aged Care proudly shared that the expert care delivered at Chestnut Gardens was business as usual during their assessment period in December last year,

“The Aged Care and Quality Commission expects that we are accreditation ready, 365 days a year, and the results received post accreditation highlights that our facilities are meeting all eight standards.”

Chestnut Gardens is one of four Monash Health residential facilities providing high-quality general and specialist care for aged living. The facility is based in Doveton and home to 100 residents who access a wide range of health professionals, including:

  • 24-hour nursing
  • Psychiatrists
  • Mental Health Professionals
  • General Practitioners
  • Dieticians
  • Podiatrists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Medical Specialists
  • Dentists

Residents of Chestnut Gardens are also supported by social and community initiatives such as individual and group programs, outings and visits, wellbeing activities and cultural and spiritual activities.

We thank everyone who has worked at Chestnut Gardens for their continued dedication and hard work to make the facility a safe environment for employees, residents and visitors. In particular, we thank the Residential Quality team for their consistent efforts to ensure our residents are receiving a high standard of care.
