Three years ago this week Monash Health cared for the first COVID-19 patient in Australia.
Speaking at Tuesday’s employee forum, Professor Rhonda Stuart, Medical Director, Infection Prevention and Epidemiology reminded us of the journey we had been on and the great work our teams had done caring for many COVID patients and vaccinating over 1.5 million Victorians.
And while we are moving to scale back some of our mask-wearing in public and shared spaces, COVID is still with us, so we need to stay aware of what is going on in the community.
We can also help protect ourselves, our families and our patients by staying home if we are sick, using a RAT if you have symptoms, reporting if you test positive to COVID, staying up to date with vaccinations, and using PPE as per the latest guidance.
If you missed it, take a look back at Tuesday’s forum.
