Monash Health Women’s delivers services at Sandringham Hospital

Monash Health is delighted to provide maternity, newborn and gynaecology services at Sandringham Hospital.

As Victoria’s largest provider of maternity care, we will now be supporting over 11,500 women each year to give birth.

Local team members have transferred to Monash Health Women’s and will continue to provide the same great care at the same location. A bolstered cohort of Senior Medical Staff join them to ensure all pregnancies receive woman-centred care with a positive and supported birth experience.

Andrea Rindt, General Manager, Women’s & Newborn Program and Sam Peddle, Acting Nurse Manager, Special Care Nursery, Sandringham Hospital, joined this week’s Employee Forum to provide an update on the transition process.

“We have delivered five babies so far, which has been great for the transition and has provided a lot of practice with the new processes and procedures,” Sam said.

“We have a great team, who have embraced the change and are passionate about providing the best care for women in our local community.”

We look forward to seamlessly continuing the high-quality care that patients are used to receiving at Sandringham.
