We’re pleased to announce that work will commence on the main café at Monash Medical Centre on Thursday. That means we’re a step closer to the opening of the new café.
Here are the changes you’ll notice as work begins:
- Hoarding will be brought in on Wednesday (1 March) evening and installed around the cafe and internal dining area to allow demolition works to commence.
- The internal dining area, external terrace opposite lecture theatre 1 and the rear cafe terrace will also be hoarded and closed from Wednesday night.
- The stairs to the rear cafe terrace from the atrium below will be hoarded to prevent access. Outdoor dining in the atrium remains unaffected.
- Chairs and tables will be relocated to the external courtyard (opposite the cafe)
- External courtyard and corridor seating will still be available as dining areas on level 2 until these areas are closed for works.
Zuppa and Calvino will continue to operate as usual.
As always, careful planning will ensure there are café options available during these works. We appreciate your patience during the downtime and look forward to opening the exciting new café soon.
