It’s a cause for a couple of celebrations for Imran Hanif today.
Imran, Support Services Manager for Kingston Centre, Moorabbin Hospital and Residential, and Central Production Kitchen Manager, will celebrate his 15 years with Monash Health at today’s Length of Service Awards. Imran is celebrating this achievement on the same day as Hospitality Workers in Healthcare Day (March 6).
Hospitality Workers in Healthcare Day is a day that recognises our hospitality support services employees and their essential contribution in providing outstanding patient support.
Reflecting on 15 years, Imran is grateful for the team he gets to work with on a daily basis.
“I love the people and team I work with. Everyone I work with, they come to work, often early in the morning, with a lot of dedication to their job. Whether it is preparing meals, cleaning, laundry services or transporting patients, we are dedicated to delivering the best outcomes for our community.”
Over the years, Imran has led the expansion and development of our Central Production Kitchen, growing from one production facility to three, and producing over 40,000 meals per week. Imran introduced Smartpak meals in 2014, a first in Australian public hospitals. He has also led the introduction of allergen and halal meals to cater to specific dietary and cultural requirements.
“I say one thing to my team all the time: we are feeding thousands of patients across Victoria every day. If just one percent of those patients say bless the people who have put their food together, then our job is done.”
Today, on Hospitality Workers in Healthcare Day, Imran will be joined by close to a hundred of his Support Services colleagues at our Length of Service awards.
Please join us and take a moment to celebrate Imran’s 15 years with Monash Health, and share our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of all our hospitality employees in Monash Health hospitals and residential aged care.
