On National Close the Gap Day, the Aboriginal Health and Engagement team is launching the Aboriginal Health and Engagement Conference and Training Scholarship.
The scholarship provides greater access to professional development and capacity building for First Nations employees at Monash Health.
Here are some upcoming Aboriginal health and wellbeing conference opportunities
- Reconciliation Australia Conference 2023: The two-day program is a unique opportunity for RAP organisation members, policymakers, academics, and community members to connect and be challenged to be brave in their commitments to reconciliation.
- 3rd International Indigenous Health & Wellbeing Conference 2023, 14-16 June, Cairns: A biennial event attracting a global audience committed to sharing knowledge for the health and wellbeing of indigenous communities.
- CATSINaM National Conference 2023, August, Location TBD: The Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM) is the peak advocacy body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives.
- 2023 IAHA National Conference, 27-29 November, Sunshine Coast: Indigenous Allied Health Australia supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health students and graduates, value-adding to existing professional development educational and cultural support structures.
- Ngar-wu Wanyarra Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Conference, date TBC, Victoria. The conference is delivered by The University of Melbourne, Department of Rural Health.
