Harmony Week – Everyone belongs

Next week is Harmony Week, a time to celebrate Australia’s cultural diversity and encourage inclusiveness and respect, fostering a sense of belonging for everyone.

At Monash Health, we respect and include everyone regardless of the language they speak, how they look, where they come from or what they believe.

We’re proud to boast a diverse range of cultures, among our employees and the wider community we serve. A significant number of residents in our catchment are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. More than 40 per cent of residents were born overseas, and we have the largest refugee and migrant community in Victoria.

We strive to reflect our diverse community and promote fair opportunity and resources for our patients, consumers, employees, volunteers, families, visitors, and community. We want to create a safe and welcoming environment that embraces everyone’s skills, perspectives, and experiences that bring people to Monash Health.

Keep an eye on the intranet throughout Harmony Week for more stories on the work being done at Monash Health. More information about Harmony Week can be found on the Harmony Week website.
