Leading with heart: Prepare your team for success at the VHH!

The Digital Health team has been working extremely hard over the past few weeks and months preparing the Victorian Heart Hospital (VHH) team for the transition to this fully digital hospital. There is a particular thank you to the Super Users whose willingness to commit to the EMR and their determination to provide excellent levels of support and problem-solving has been an incredibly proud moment for the team.

Not to forget the Champions, who play a vital role moving forward; now that the Super Users have completed their final shifts, the Champions are there to help you complete important work and not rely on workarounds that can be inefficient or inaccurate. You must have your Champions nominated and trained for ongoing assistance. Please use the Champion Nomination Form before COB Monday, 27 March 2023.

Limited support will continue to be available on-site at VHH until Friday, 31 March. Below, we outline the support available to you and your teams as VHH transitions to a business-as-usual model:

  • New EMR Passports for workstreams will direct you to the relevant QRGs, videos, posters, etc., available on the EMR Knowledge Hub.
    • Scroll down the EMR Resource Library page, select Passport and click ‘Apply’, select VHH related and click ‘Apply’, scroll down to the list of Champions Passports
  • If you have a need for a new QRG, shortcut or checklist for your area the EMR Training Team are here to help! Email them at EMRtraining@monashhealth.org
  • The team are also developing checklists to help you work through your workflows – these have proven immensely helpful in some areas of the VHH already, including ED.
  • Please remember to use the correct Teams channel for your communication – The VHH Digital Super User and Champions Group. These channels will close on 31 March, but we are working on Teams channels for Champions to use in future.

Thank you to everyone that has been involved, who has taken the time and has had the patience to see the programs through, providing support and a smile. We are excited to see the teams progress from strength to strength.
