Construction has commenced on a new Early Parenting Centre at Clyde North to be operated by Monash Health in collaboration with the Queen Elizabeth Centre.

The project will deliver ten residential family units and four ‘day-stay’ spaces for parents to receive expert clinical support from the Monash Health team. Designed to have a home-like atmosphere, the facility will include play areas, kitchen and dining areas, and outdoor landscaped gardens. The facility will provide this crucial service much closer to home for families in the South East population corridor.
“One of the major issues we know facing parents in those early days is sleep and settling a newborn,” said Alison Medhurst, Director of Clinical Operations for Monash Health Children’s at Casey.
“A facility like this will provide invaluable support and advice for parents who need support with sleep, feeding, or extra care for babies and toddlers with additional needs.”

The Early Parenting Centre will be located at 114 Newgrange Boulevard in Clyde North. Construction is underway with an expected completion date in late 2023.
