Monash Health is moving to a “One Pay” system which will see the whole organisation operate on the same payrun.
Why?
A single payrun across the organisation will improve efficiencies and enable Payroll to increase their capacity to deal with other requests.
Who?
All employees currently on the H payrun will move to the N payrun. N payrun employees will not be affected by the change and do not need to take any action.
You can check your payslip if you’re unsure which payrun you’re on. Any payslip processed from 27 April onwards will have a notation at the end to indicate H or N payrun.
How?
In order to move the pay week for H payrun, a one-off, one-week pay will run on 3 August to bridge the gap between payruns, with regular fortnightly pay to resume two weeks after that.
There will be no loss or gain to your pay during the transition, just a change to the timing and spread of your pay to align the two payruns.
What do you need to do?
If you are on the H payrun, we recommend you contact your bank and any other institution that debits your account (such as your gym or utility provider) to adjust any direct debits that may be dependent on your pay cycle.
What will Payroll do?
Payroll will make contact with organisations that receive direct deductions from your pay (payroll deductions) to advise them of this change. However, we recommend you also contact these organisations (if applicable) to ensure your obligations are met.
Any recurring deductions direct from your pay, such as superannuation, union fees or child support, will be paid a half amount from the one-off, one-week pay, with full fortnightly deductions to resume from the next fortnightly pay. You will not lose out on any of these payments.
Please note that Maxxia deductions will not occur from the one-off, one-week pay. Maxxia will recalculate your deductions over the remaining FBT year payments to ensure salary packaging is maximised and any novated lease obligations are met.
