During National Volunteer Week (15 to 21 May), we’re taking the opportunity to recognise the outstanding contributions volunteers make to Monash Health.
We are lucky to have 286 volunteers that share their time across many roles, such as ward ambassadors, guides, consumer advisors, and spiritual care.

Volunteers have a huge impact on the experience of our patients, carers and families. They are the smiling faces who welcome visitors to our hospital and help patients and their families navigate challenging times. Our volunteers provide kindness and company to people who need it most. Our Consumer Advisors help shape our services, always reminding us to keep the patient at the centre of everything we do.
We are grateful for the care and kindness they give so freely, and all the hard work they do.
Our annual volunteer lunch is being held on Wednesday 17 May 23 at the Southern Golf Club to thank our volunteers for their commitment to Monash Health.
If you see one of our volunteers this week, make sure you say thank you and let them know how much we value them!
We have volunteers across the aged spectrum (from 19, to their late eighties!). Some have just joined us this year, while others have volunteered with us for decades. It’s never too early or too late to volunteer, so if you or someone you know wants to volunteer with Monash Health, please get in touch with volunteers@monashhealth.org.
