We’re excited to announce the launch of ‘Leadership Live,’ a program designed to accelerate development and unlock the leader within.
As Donald McGannon famously said, ‘Leadership is an action, not a position,’ and this sentiment underpins our vision to ignite a leadership culture of innovation and transformation. Let’s share ideas and explore what’s possible!
With the first session on 12 July, ‘Leadership Live’ will be a fortnightly, 45-minute session hosted by Monash Health leaders, for Monash Health leaders. These interactive sessions will provide a platform for sharing ideas, learning, and experimenting with innovative leadership approaches.
Growth and innovation
In meeting the challenges of the pandemic, we discovered a new level of capacity for change and innovation. Let’s connect with other leaders across the organisation to hear how they are continuing this momentum and what they are learning along the way.
The sessions will be hosted by Michelle Morrison, Director of Organisation Capability. Michelle will invite attendees to engage in thought-provoking discussions and encourage a collaborative learning environment. The topics will encourage you to embrace new perspectives and leave each session with ideas and energy to increase your leadership impact.
Series One – Why Leadership Matters
‘Leadership Live’ will run a series of topics, each covering approximately four sessions and be held on Microsoft Teams, allowing easy engagement from all attendees.
The inaugural series of ‘Leadership Live’ will kick off by covering the importance of leadership. Those joining us will have the opportunity to hear from Martin Keogh, our Interim Chief Executive, who will share his experiences and insights on personal leadership, as well as what it means to lead strategically.
Chris McLoughlin, Executive Director, People and Culture, will discuss the importance of leading systems change at Monash Health, and Chief Financial Officer, Rachelle Anstey, will talk about her strategy to “grow her own” talent from within. Other guests in series one will include Andrea Rindt, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Women’s and Children, Megan Galbally, Program Director, Mental Health, and David Bloxham, General Manager, Communication and Engagement.
Supporting experienced leaders, new leaders and aspiring leaders
It is important to note that ‘Leadership Live’ is open to anyone within Monash Health who seeks personal and professional growth. We recognise that leadership can come from anyone, regardless of role or title. We also know that leaders experience overwhelm and isolation at times. So, please encourage attendance from anyone you think would benefit.
We’re excited to provide what we hope will be a valuable resource to our leaders, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. ‘Leadership Live’ sets the stage to inspire and equip our leaders to unlock positive change and make a lasting impact on our organisation’s future.
