The Alfred Health and Monash Health Shared Pathology Services partnership has been confirmed as the preferred provider to deliver public pathology services to the Western Health community.
The new service will see an expansion of the current Alfred Health Pathology service across the Western Health network, as well as drawing on the paediatric and neonatal expertise of the Monash Health Pathology service.
Further details, including timelines and transition plans, will be available in the coming months following consultation with Western Health and the Victorian Department of Health.
This marks an exciting time for public pathology in Victoria, as both Alfred Health and Monash Health Pathology services expand their support of the Victorian public pathology network to help meet growing community demand.
