Baret is coming to night clinical employees on 5 September

We are excited to announce the next launch date for our Baret implementation at Monash Health – here’s what you need to know!

On Tuesday 5 September, all overnight clinical employees who currently use Smartpage will start using Baret via Microsoft Teams for clinical communication. This change will impact all medical, nursing, midwifery, pathology and radiology employees who work overnight and use Smartpage, including our nursing coordinators (NCOs).

Pagers will still remain for receiving emergency communication (e.g. clinical codes) and contacting non-clinical employees (e.g. General Services).

What do I need to do?

To ensure that you are ‘Baret Ready’ there is training available and engagement activities planned for each site, including Baret Rounding and Baret Log On Events! If you are a clinician who works overnight and currently uses Smartpage, make sure you visit the ‘Events and Webinar’ page of the M365 Knowledge Hub to check out the training and engagement events.

About Baret

Baret, a replacement for pagers/Lanpage and Smartpage for non-emergency clinical communication, has reached its next phase of transition across Monash Health. Baret operates within Microsoft Teams and streamlines communication by enabling quick access to the right person for timely decision-making.

Aside from significantly improving clinician communications and consolidating our platforms, it provides real-time workload distribution insights, enhanced data security and patient confidentiality, and a secure clinical photograph transmission feature.
