Our Intranet is getting an upgrade

Exciting changes are on the horizon as we begin to upgrade our Intranet!

We have been hard at work behind the scenes to introduce a range of improvements and enhancements to our Intranet.

From midday Tuesday, 15 August you’ll see a new Intranet homepage on your desktops, laptops and smartphones.

What’s happening

Work has begun to upgrade and update our Intranet. Our new Intranet will be rolled out progressively as part of a phased approach.

The first phase of this project involves:

  • Transitioning to a modern SharePoint Communication site that aligns with our developing Microsoft 365 architecture.
  • The large-scale migration of business-critical content and applications to ensure business continuity.

A new look as part of a phased approach

A new M365 SharePoint Communication site will provide a new platform and new look for our Intranet.

Initially, our new Intranet homepage will work alongside and link back to existing content on our existing Intranet and COVID-19 website.

As we progress with this work as part of a phased approach, and as content and pages are brought across to our new Intranet platform, we will decommission the old Intranet and COVID-19 website.

Intranet updates

We will review and update content in a staged manner, but we know some of you might have critical operational content that needs to be updated. If your department or team have any updates that you know are essential for operations and business continuity, please get in touch with us. We’ll make sure to prioritise this content.

Why we’re doing this

Our focus is on ensuring our Intranet best meets the needs of our dynamic organisation. The upgrade is not only a positive step forward but also a necessary one, laying the foundation for a more modern and connected workplace.

Throughout the Intranet upgrade process, we will keep you informed about the project’s progress, timelines, opportunities for feedback, and endeavour to address any questions or concerns you may have.
