The Move Smart manual handling program promotes a positive culture of safe work practice in manual handling to ensure we can all go home safely each day.
If you have not already, you must complete the mandatory training on LATTE – ‘Move Smart – Introduction to Manual Handling’, then complete the online ‘Move Smart’ quiz by 1 October 2023.
Once you have completed the module, you will receive a ‘complete’ on your training record.
Nursing, midwifery and theatre technician employees are required to complete an additional discipline-specific LATTE training module, ‘Move Smart Manual Handling – Nursing, Midwifery, Theatre Technicians’. This must also be completed by 1 October 2023. Nurses and midwives can also contact their local ‘Move Smart Champion’ to find out more about the program and Safe Work Practices (SWPs).
Some areas with higher manual handling requirements will be provided with additional training.
