This year’s art competition received a tremendous response, with 49 entries and over 1,700 votes across the eight award categories. Thank you to everybody who was involved and contributed to this much-loved event.
The Mental Health Art competition exists to raise awareness of mental illness and celebrate the inclusivity and diversity of the artistic talents of our staff and those who use our services.
We announced our 2023 winners at a ceremony held on World Mental Health Day (10 October 2023), where several special guests joined us to present the awards, including:
- Mary O’Hagan – Executive Director of Lived Experience
- Maggie Toko – Mental Health and Wellbeing Consumer Commissioner
- Paula Hakesley – General Manager Monash Health Mental Health Program.
- Danielle Tang and Veronica Rocca Aiello from Maxxia Salary Packaging
- Hilary Morris, Michelle Hosking and Glenys Medley from Monash Health’s Mental Health Consumer and Family/Carer Advisory Committee.
