Halloween in the wards

Monash Children’s Hospital team members dressed up in Halloween costumes

Ghosts, witches, and skeletons have joined our hospital wards today for Halloween.

Teams across Monash Health are making sure our patients don’t miss out on the spooky season by donning their best scary costumes and decorating the wards with pumpkins, giant spiders, and webs.

Dani Smith, General Manager of our Children’s Program and Monash Children’s Hospital, said it’s wonderful to see the smiles on patients and families’ faces when they’re greeted by a team member in costume and a treat – no tricks!

“It’s so important to us at Monash Health that every young patient has the opportunity to enjoy the little things, like Halloween, while receiving excellent care,” Dani said.

“To any concerned visitors, we promise the skeletons and spiders are fake!”

Happy Halloween to all those that celebrate.
