Update on The Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector)(Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024

Bargaining has now commenced for a replacement to the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector)(Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024 which reaches its nominal expiry date on 30 April 2024.

How does the bargaining process work?

Bargaining commenced on 2 November 2023. Bargaining is conducted on behalf of employers by the Victorian Hospitals’ Industrial Association (VHIA). The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Foundation (ANMF) is the employee bargaining representative, although more employee bargaining representatives may be notified by employees. The Department of Health and Industrial Relations Victoria are interested parties and will also attend bargaining meetings, which are currently being held twice a week.

Bargaining representatives usually begin the bargaining process by each submitting a log of claims to be discussed during bargaining. The log of claims lists the key priorities that a bargaining representative would like to achieve in the new agreement. You can view The Employer and ANMF log of claims here.

What happens next?

We will keep our employees up to date as the bargaining progresses. Please also ensure you keep an eye on the Manager Bulletin and iNews for additional information.
