From Monday 27 November, doctors, nurses and midwives will notice some changes to their EMR view (Mpage) that will improve visibility of multidisciplinary information.
These changes include:
- Allied Health recommendations will now be visible on the Doctor Workflow Mpage and Nurse/Midwife ISBAR Handover Mpage for adult inpatients.
- Dietitians will now be able to place a diagnosis of “Malnutrition” in the Problem List, which will appear as a medical diagnosis.
- Doctors, nurses and midwives will now be able to filter EMR notes to “Allied Health/MDT”.
- A new section in Nutrition Results Review flowsheet outlines the patient’s Nutritional Status.
What’s changing
Allied Health Recommendations section now visible in doctor, and nurse/midwife view
A new section will be available on the Doctor Workflow Mpage and Nurse/Midwife ISBAR Handover Mpage for all adult inpatients. This will provide a short summary from any allied health profession that has reviewed the patient. This summary will update when new information is documented by allied health in the allied health powerforms or iView:
Dietitians will now add “Malnutrition” diagnosis to Problem List
Dietitians will now be able to place a diagnosis of “Malnutrition” in the Problem List which will appear as a medical diagnosis
New documentation filter to easily view Allied Health/MDT notes
Doctors, Nurses and Midwives can now filter EMR notes to view “Allied Health/MDT” notes only. The filter can be seen in the Shared Filters Section in the Documentation tab (access via Table of Contents)
New section in Nutritional Results Review Flowsheet outlining Nutritional Status
This new section will have relevant nutritional details to provide a snapshot of the nutritional status of the patient. Select “Nutrition View” Flowsheet option in Results Review.
