Submissions via the Department of Health are now open for the Premier’s Awards for Health and Medical Research.
Established in 1995, the Victorian Government’s Premier’s Awards for Health and Medical Research recognise the exceptional contributions of Victoria’s early-career health and medical researchers and highlight the breadth of work undertaken in Victoria to improve the lives of people around the world significantly.
The five award categories include:
- Basic Science Researcher
- Clinical Researcher
- Aboriginal Researcher undertaking research in any field of health and medical research (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only)
- Health Services Researcher
- Public Health Researcher
There is also a Premier’s Excellence award available.
The assessment process will be conducted by a selection panel of leading Victorian health and medical research community members representing a broad range of health and medical research fields.
Once a rigorous assessment is completed, the panel will determine finalists and recommend the category and Premier’s Excellence Award winners to the Minister for Medical Research.
