Need to work while overseas? Do this first!

Fill out the Microsoft 365 & Mobile International Travel Form for your Monash Health accounts and devices.

Previously, we were unable to access our Microsoft 365 accounts while overseas due to a Microsoft Security Policy known as Geofencing. Geofencing minimises the risk of cyber-attacks by restricting external access from countries other than Australia and New Zealand.

But now you can request access to your M365 account when you need to work while overseas.

Enabling your overseas M365 access

Simply fill out the Microsoft 365 & Mobile International Travel Form to enable your M365 account access overseas.

You can find this link on the Information Technology intranet page.

Upon completion of the mandatory details in the application form, overseas access is automatically enabled for the period requested.

Global Roaming

You can also use the Microsoft 365 & Mobile International Travel Form to request international mobile roaming services on your Monash Health provided device while overseas.

Please be aware there is a 24-hour synchronisation time for the Telecommunications provider, Telstra, to enable international mobile roaming on each device.

If you’re already overseas, your Manager or Administration team can log the application on your behalf.  TBS recommend you submit this application at the earliest opportunity before travelling overseas.
