Over recent weeks we’ve been speaking with you about developing a workforce strategy that enables us to reach our full potential today, and in the future.
As people leaders, we thank you for your valuable feedback on what works for you and your teams. Whether you submitted your ideas via our online suggestion box, attended a virtual drop-in session or ran a local meeting in your area, thank you.
With the consultation phase now closed, our focus is on listening, reviewing, and incorporating your feedback.
We all have a role to play in making sure this strategy works for everyone. Your feedback and suggestions – along with ideas you have previously shared in your professional groups – will be one source of intelligence as we work towards our new strategy.
Our Workforce Strategy 2023–2033 will set out our commitment and goals for our workforce.
The supporting Workforce Action Plan 2023–2033 will set consistent direction and guidance for workforce planning and decision-making at Monash Health.
Together, they will provide a clear and common direction for us to work towards and ensure we continue to support our current workforce and develop our workforce for the future.
We will make small and large changes. We will put short and long-term initiatives in place.
It is about finding the right balance to allow for flexibility while improving career progression, retention, and succession.
We want to have the right people in the right jobs, reaching their full potential to ensure our workforce continues to deliver the best possible care.
Stay tuned for updates, information and resources as we develop this important new strategy.
