From 1 October our free injury triage service expanded and now offers specialised treatment and support for psychological injuries sustained in the workplace.
In partnership with Access Psych, the service allows injured employees to be consulted via telephone or video with a Worksafe-approved psychologist within 48 hours of referral.
If an employee chooses to use the service, they will receive acute confidential clinical treatment, education and strategies to manage their condition.
Following consultation, the psychologist will provide you and your employee with a plan on how to best accommodate and support them in the workplace.
The injury triage service will now also offer the coverage of up to four free medical appointments within the affiliated medical clinics. This may include a GP, Psychologist or Physiotherapist, or a combination of all.
Cath Jeffries, Director – Health, Safety and Wellbeing says we have a duty to keep our employees safe and expanding the injury triage service will offer further treatment options to assist our employees with their injury recovery while remaining at work.
If you have a team member who has sustained an injury at work and would like to use the injury triage service, they can contact 1800 264 368.
