COVID-19 Alert 29 March 2021 – Queensland and New South Wales exposure sites

Queensland and New South Wales exposure sites

Greater Brisbane (City of Brisbane, City of Ipswich, Logan City, Moreton Bay Region, Redlands City) is now designated a red zone.

The Gladstone Region in Queensland and Byron Shire in NSW are now orange zones.

If you entered Victoria from Greater Brisbane between 12 March and 6pm 29 March:

  1. Get tested immediately.
  2. Isolate until you receive a negative result. Do not attend work.
  3. Contact your manager.
  4. Contact the COVID-19 Employee Hotline on 959 45815 (7am to 7pm – seven days a week).
  5. Monitor for symptoms in the following two weeks post-exposure and repeat testing (and isolate until the result is known) if symptoms develop.

You can return to work when you receive a negative result if you have no symptoms.

If you entered Victoria from Greater Brisbane after 6pm 29 March:

  1. Get tested immediately, and on day 13 from the date of the exposure.
  2. Isolate for 14 days. Do not attend work.
  3. Call the COVID-19 employee hotline on 959 45815.
  4. Contact your manager.
  5. Contact the Victorian Department of Health on 1300 651 150.

If you test negative on day 13, you can return to work after day 14 if you have no symptoms.

If you entered Victoria from the Gladstone Region in Queensland or Byron Shire in NSW after 26 March:

  1. Get tested immediately.
  2. Isolate until you receive a negative result. Do not attend work.
  3. Contact your manager.
  4. Contact the COVID-19 Employee Hotline on 959 45815 (7am to 7pm – seven days a week).
  5. Monitor for symptoms in the following two weeks post-exposure and repeat testing (and isolate until the result is known) if symptoms develop.

You can return to work when you receive a negative result if you have no symptoms.

If you were at an identified high-risk exposure site in New South Wales or Queensland during the specified times:

  1. Get tested immediately, and on day 13 from the date of the exposure.
  2. Isolate for 14 days. Do not attend work.
  3. Call the COVID-19 employee hotline on 959 45815.
  4. Contact your manager.
  5. Contact the Victorian Department of Health on 1300 651 150.

If you test negative on day 13, you can return to work after day 14 if you have no symptoms.
